The Sri Lankan navy destroyed two LTTE boats off the northeast coast killing eight rebels on board as fighting in the embattled north killed 45 Tamil tigers and five soldiers. The Special Boat Squadron (SBS) sailors of Sri Lanka Navy attacked and destroyed two LTTE assault boats when they appeared off Pooneryn Sea in Kilinochchi last night, navy sources said.
